The cinema El Khayam (ex Debussy) was inaugurated this morning by the Wali of Algiers, Abdelkader Zoukh, with the Mayor of Algiers APC-center, Abdelhakim Bettach, local elected officials and the 'contractor architect for his rehabilitation, Hasna Hadjilah.
The rehabilitation project has enabled the compliance of the room compared to international standards for this type of equipment, including acoustics, fire safety and comfort.
With a capacity of 320 seats, it has a 35mm projection system and a Dolby surround sound. The room also houses an exhibition space on the transparency front.
We probably will return in more detail on this project in an upcoming issue of "Lives of cities."
